For the churches of Oldham, through unity and strenghth may the Christian voice be heard in our town, and may Christ's church be a place of welcome, hope and encouragement.
The on-going work and mission of Oldham Baptist Church, Oldham Unity and The British Red Cross who seek to offer hope week by week.
The ongoing migration crisis, for all who seek a better way of life for themselves and their children, may the world look on with compassionate eyes and loving responsive hearts. Pray for world leaders and all in authority, may this authority be used in just and fair ways for the good of all.
Those of our fellowship who cannot regularly worship with us, due to frailty and illness. Pray for our members who are house bound and in nursing homes, and pray for those who have lost the desire to be a part of our worshipping community.
Let us remember the people of Oldham, in particular those who have to live on the streets, those who feel that they are a marginalised section of the community, and those of all faiths who strive to bring peace and unity to our town.
Our land and the world, pray for an end to violence, suffering, war, poverty and injustice, and pray for the love and light of Jesus to shine into those dark corners and touch the lives of so many who cry out from darkness.
